Guemes Island Fire Department

Karen was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and graduated high school in New Gloucester, Maine.  She went to Westbrook College in Portland, Maine where she attained her B.S. before studying medical technology at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.  Karen moved to Washington in 1983 and earned her MBA in 2009 from City University in Seattle, WA.  Karen married her husband Scott in 1986 and moved to Guemes in 2011. When Karen isn’t serving as a referee for youth and college soccer, she enjoys skiing, backpacking, and kayaking.
