Guemes Island Fire Department

Daniel was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in Tacoma, Washington.  He holds B.A.s in both Music and Spanish, and served in the Peace Corps as a sanitation and health volunteer in Bolivia from 2006 to 2008.  Daniel was recruited to join the GIFD at a Thursday soup supper shortly after the Clark Point Fire in 2012.  He started building his home on Guemes Island in 2014 and married Islander Stephanie Woolworth in 2018.  When not providing the vital service of mail delivery on island, Daniel enjoys playing violin, piano, and guitar, and kayaking.
