Winter Storm Watch for above 1500 feet

National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for the west slopes of the northern and central Cascades and passes effective late Thursday night through late Friday night. SEOO ED/AS
* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...LOCATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET IN THE NORTH CASCADES AND ABOVE 2500 FEET IN THE CENTRAL CASCADES. THIS INCLUDES ALL OF THE HIGHWAY PASSES...SUCH AS STEVENS PASS...SNOQUALMIE PASS AND WHITE PASS.
* TIMING...HEAVY SNOW BEGINNING BEFORE DAWN ON FRIDAY AND ENDING
EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES ON FRIDAY
AFTERNOON.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...AROUND ONE FOOT IN THE PASSES AND NEAR
MOUNT BAKER. UP TO TWO FEET AT MOUNT RAINIER.
* MAIN IMPACT...TRAVEL THROUGH THE CASCADES WILL BE CHALLENGING.
* SNOW LEVEL...2000 TO 2500 FEET ON FRIDAY...FALLING TO 1000 TO
1500 FEET BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
