A COLD AND MOIST WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING AREAS OF HEAVY SNOW TO 

WESTERN WASHINGTON TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. MUCH OF THE 

SNOW WILL COME IN HEAVY BURSTS WITH SHOWERS OR LOCALIZED BANDS OF 

INTENSE SNOW. THIS WILL MAKE SNOWFALL TOTALS HIGHLY VARIABLE FROM 

PLACE TO PLACE. ALSO...FRASER OUTFLOW WINDS WILL CAUSE STRONG 

AND GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE FAR NORTH 

INTERIOR THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY.

ADMIRALTY INLET AREA AND WESTERN SKAGIT COUNTY REMAINS IN EFFECT

UNTIL 10 AM PST THURSDAY.

 

* AFFECTED LOCATIONS...MOUNT VERNON...OAK HARBOR...PORT

  TOWNSEDN...ARLINGTON...MARYSVILLE...EVERETT...AND EDMONDS.

 

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 7 INCHES ARE LIKELY THROUGH TODAY.

  ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT.
