The National Weather Service released a significant weather briefing predicting high winds and coastal flooding for our region Sunday night through Monday.  Of particular interest for Guemes Island is the possibility of very high westerly winds (30 to 40 mph sustained with gusts in the 55 to 65 mph range)  and the possibility of coastal flooding Monday morning.  West shore residents should be prepared for the possibility of localized flooding and all islanders need to be prepared for power outages and wind related damage.
