High Wind Warning...

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for our region this evening through tomorrow morning.  They are characterizing this storm as having "THE POTENTIAL TO BE ONE OF THE STRONGEST SEPTEMBER WINDSTORMS ON RECORD."  They are predicting "WIND...INCREASING FROM THE SOUTH AT 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 50 TO 60 MPH."

Combined with the fact that most of our trees still have their full canopy of leaves and the root destabilizing effects of recent heavy rains, this could lead to substantial storm damage if the storm materializes as predicted.  Please be prepared for the possibility of a long night.
